I was playing with my mobileme account today, and discovered a website I had made on iweb. So I had a really good laugh, and uploaded it to my new mobileme site, because it's absolutely ridiculous. I'm not sure if I'll leave it there for long, so enjoy it while it lasts.

We are moved in.

And I love it here.

I have a job.*

So I feel like I can buy things now (even though I can't, because I have things like rent to pay). Things like this necklace (which I won't buy), and these boots (which Kelsey and I both bought).

*As a "specialist" at the U-Village Apple Store. Nothing is signed yet, but will be on Friday? And then I'll start training on Saturday.

This makes 200 posts! And a lot of babbling about (and photos of) sewing! I think I'm getting better at it, which I find really exciting. And I'm trying to get all the creative distractions out of the way before school starts (I know, fat chance, right).
As always, completer descriptions and photos can be found on my flickr and burda pages.

I do other crafts too.

Like knitting. I started both of these scarves on Markus and I's trip to North Dakota, finishing the blue one there, and the brown one this morning. The blue one is a seed stitch, and full of boo-boos. The brown scarf is Purl Bee's "Mistake Stitch" pattern, and maybe my favorite thing I've ever knitted. Both are ridculously long.

In the land of no internet.

It looks like we won't have internet set up until next Tuesday. Ugh. Luckily, there is a nice Tully's down the hill from me. With free wifi.

In other news: I'm working on being employed! I've already been to a "career seminar" at the U-Village Apple Store, and have a second interview their tomorrow. I also heard back from UW libraries today, and have been asked to set up an interview there! So I'm excited. Because paying rent seems like a good idea.

Also, I love our house. More photos to come. :)

Our house!

I'm really happy to be back in Seattle, even if it's pouring rain, and I have to come to the Apple Store to get wifi.

The House

We move in tomorrow! I'm excited to be back in Seattle, doing Seattle things (like getting jobs! I have an interview type thing Sunday night!). And I'm excited to be almost done packing.

p.s. Operation blue and red color scheme is going swimmingly.

I can't help myself.

This week's sewing projects. Made between spurts of packing.

As always, posted with more photos and complete(ish) descriptions on Burda.

I move in-this weekend,

and surprisingly (or not) I really haven't thought too hard about how to decorate my room (and the rest of the house I'll be sharing we three of my friends, including Kels). I'm limited creative-wise by the furniture I'll have (read: the free, ugly kind), and can't repaint the walls (they're a neutral, land-lord prescribed cream color). BUT I think I've just decided to use this color palette. And once a family returns home with a car, I'm going to get some spray paint (also, do you think Home Depot sells chalk board paint? because I need some of that).

My sewing is on the internet!

Complete with nerdy photos and little write ups. Chels helped me model and photograph stuff last night. It makes me so nerdy-happy.

Burda even put my wrap dress on the site's home page for the day!
