Working on making Seattle the Sundial Capital of the US, among other things.

This quarter is going to be absolutely crazy. Between 18 credits/tour guiding/peer instructor prep/all kinds of RA shenanigans/figuring out next year/my insatiable* desire to sew. My professors are swell though - my American Foreign Policy prof dissed Glenn Beck with in the first 5 minutes of our first lecture today. Always a good sign.

*I spelled insatiable right on the first go. I'm impressed with myself.

Parts 1 and 3

Like I said, I've been sewing. And I'm really proud of these shirts - the blue one is from a vintage pattern I picked up the other day, and the white one was completely designed by me.

Ultimate Cookie Pants

I've been sewing. This is article clothing number 2 of the break.

My family had a good laugh over them.

I'm stoked.

Went to St. Vincent de Paul's and Shop CI to pick up second hand fabric today. They're my favorite second hand stores ever, and I came home with $20 worth of fabric, old patterns, and Kodak Instamatic cameras.

Hello Spring Break. :)

Done, earlier than I thought I'd be!

I might spend a little more time on it tomorrow (my exam isn't until 4:30), but look! Note sheet! For my in-class Political Science exam tomorrow.

Here's to hoping that size 6 font is readable.

Writing about how much life in Russia sucks

Sucks just about as much as life in Russia must actually suck.

Also, I'm ok that Time named Putin Person of the Year a while back. Not because I like him, but because of his impressive influence and consequence (past, present, and future).

I'm here.

Allegro Allegro Allegro.
Trying to concentrate on outline political science essays.
It's obviously going well.

This happens to you too, right?

One minute I'm surfing the internet, and all of the sudden it's two weeks later, and I've made a sizable rag rug. It's a good 3 1/2 feet in diameter.. and makes me really happy. :)

My flowers from Markus are holding up well, and also making me happy. :)

I love my Newsweek subscribtion.

Even if I usually only read a few pages.
Sometimes I do read it all. And sometimes I even go to the website. But only on special occasions.

Oh Joy

I took the afternoon (and evening) off. Made some progress on my rug, watched some excellent trashy tv, and made this shirt. It's been floating around in my head for awhile, and I'm glad to have finally made it. I made some modifications to a Built By Wendy pattern... which I think is pretty exciting at least. (:

(This is me failing to get a picture of the back of the shirt.)

Places I haven't been in 2 months:

Home.

I think this is the first full quarter I've spent at UW without a weekend trip home.
I'm so ready for spring break.

Illuminated

My final photo project! I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Laugh Laugh Laugh

Sometimes I like to read old things I've written. Other times it's just embarrassing.
I'm not sure you'll find them quite as funny I do. (From an old blog that has some horribly high school musings.)

The rest of this last one wasn't relevant.

Heres to hoping for hardwood floors next year.

I'm impulse crafting a rag rug. It's a lot more work that I thought it would be, but it's really fun. And satisfying. The rug's wrinkling a little funny.. I'm hoping that will figure itself out.

The rug isn't done yet, but I think I'm going to take a short hiatus from working on it. I'm low on fabric and free time at the moment.
