How will I choose?

Among other awesome gifts, Markus got me a 10 pack of polaroid film for Christmas. I've always wanted to take polaroid pictures- when I was little, my mom said it was too expensive. Now that the film is discontinued, it really is. So I've got 10 shots at it. I'm excited. :)

Merry Christmas!

And a happy go to hell.

Funny every time.

*This is a Markus post. But it really was funny every time. Man, I love House marathons.

Meet Jacqueline

Merry Christmas!
Markus is worried he will never see me again.

She

I love Zooey Deschanel. I don't even really have a good reason for it. I haven't seen too many of her movies, but I love her as the she half of "She and Him," and I love her in Oliver Peoples' ad campaign.

I mean seriously. I want these glasses now.

Frosh

I think I need to track down this issue of Times. It's a bit humbling to see pictures of our president-elect when he was younger than I am now. And reassuring.

Pillowcase Purse!

Craft projects abound.
Again, with the instructions following.

I'm like a hibernating bear.

(But more attractive.) According to my boyfriend.
This was my stash of secondhand fabric as of a few days ago:

These are the cute pincushions that I made the other night. And I actually use them! And they're really fun to make, so I'm sure there will be very many more of them.

And this is a blurry camera-phone photo of the skirt I made today. I used a pattern! And followed instructions! There will be actual pictures someday soon. (I used fabric I bought $1.99 at Goodwill a few weeks ago, because I'm too intimidated by the snowy roads to go out and buy good stuff.)

And I've worked my way into season 8 of That 70s Show. Its sort of weird now that Eric and Kelso are gone.

Happily Reunited with a Sewing Machine

My first completed project of winter break!
I sort of loosely followed this pattern.

But we didn't build a snowman.

It snowed in Seattle last night. Adam walked me to the bus stop, and I took pictures.
There is snow in Kennewick too (and its still falling!), so I imagine the winter pictures are only beginning. (:

Oh man.

I got a package of wonderful junk food from Markus in the mail today AND a package from my parents with grandma cookies.
And I think my studying paid off on my final exams today.
Smile smile smile.
I'm daydreaming about fatty knitting needles and trying not to freak out about my exams today.
I'll follow something close to this partern this pattern, in an attempt to achieve a wearable versions of this scarf.
Final exam time.

Beard Lust

I made my guy friends beards for Christmas. People started departing for home today, so I gave them last night. I hope they like them. Because I do. :)

There are 8 boys in clusterland, and now there are 8 boys in clusterland who will never have to deal with the stress of no shave November again.

The beard keeps Danielslaw's face so warm that he's going to wear to his final exam.

The beards even have mouth holes, for easy(ish) chip consumption.

George didn't feel the need to wear his facial hair. So I did.

I'm not sure why Rob's beard was orange, but it was.

There on mini lights on my fan.

Merry December 9th!
I go home for Christmas soon. :)

What an excellent idea.

I love that the last clip is in Fremont.

Lack of Giraffes

Adam had an extra ticket, and is super neat so he gave it to me, and we went to the Colin Meloy show at the HUB last night! It was wonderful. I'm pretty ok with any artist who drops references to Tristan and Isolde, French Canadians, and pelotons. The opener, Sean Nelson of Harvey Danger, was fairly hysterical. I didn't take any video myself (I was too busy smiling in the front row), but I found this one of my favorite song.

He flubbed a few lines last night too, but the general consensus tended toward endearing. :)

I think I must photosynthesize.

I am so much happier when the sun shines.

Also, it makes me really happy to that I can take a picture with my phone, bluetooth in to my computer, and blog it instantly. Man, I love technology. (Imagine if I had an iPhone! So much blogging!)

Following Through

I made my toothbrush bracelets.
They were really fun to make, and really happy to give (Kara, the purple one is for you).

This one is mine. The gray knitting is my other current project. Besides school and gifts. The toughest part about making Christmas presents is not being able to show anyone. The toughest part of school is focusing.
