I miss sewing.

I haven't sewn in ages. Kind of a combination of no time/no supplies/no motivation, but I hope I can get back into it over spring break.

A trip to my favorite thrift stores at home, JoAnn's, and maybe a Colette pattern might be the right way to get back into it (seriously, I've been contemplating ordering a one of her patterns for ages).

I really love the blog fieldguided right now.

Works in Progress

I've been working on a website with one of my classmates for a school project for the last few days. I'm not terribly proud of my writing (or how late I put it off until), but here it is! And I'm so glad I finally got my writing-responibilities done with (this turned into a count-the-words type assignment). There are still some blank pages, but those should be filled by tomorrow morning, and probably a butt-ton of typos, but those should go the way of the dinosaur by Thursday.

So here it is, Censorship in China, as explained in a basic iWeb site.

P.S. Spring breaks almost here! Just over a week away, and it couldn't be coming soon enough.

What a silly way to waste time.

I've always thought Polyvore was ridiculous, but I guess that's the kind of mood I'm in today?

I don't even like Chicken Soup.

But the cold I've got right now is bad enough that I ate some for supper, along with my cough drops, sprite, and gallons of tea.

Welcome Back

Bangs, nail polish, and Arcade Fire.

P.S. Do you know how hard it is to cut your bangs when you wear glasses? It's difficult.

Spring in February

Today is probably the last day of the amazing sunny-snap we've had in Seattle, so I ran out side to snag a few flower photos before the sun set and the rain comes back.

Still Busy

And it doesn't show any signs of letting up soon. Full time student + part time job + hanging out with a friend or two = more hours than I seem to have in a day.

P.S. The mini lights in the photo are my favorite - I made them by sticking egg carton-cups onto old Christmas lights. Serious cheap-crafting love.

P.P.S. I picked up the painting on my bureau for $3 at IKEA, and the framed "art" is a collage I made by cutting up library-discard art books.

Kind of freaking out.

I won the Wednesday Giveaway over on Cup of Jo yesterday! My name was picked from over 1000 comments entered on the post. So these lovely earrings will be showing up on my doorstep someday soon! I'm pretty excited. :)

Top Pot

Today was pretty successful, as far as lazy Saturdays go. I slept in, did my laundry, went to Top Pot for the first time and ate a delicous lemon filled donut (and I'll definitely be back again- it's a 5 minute bus ride from my house!), and downloaded a super fun photo editting app (I never pay for apps, but Tiltshift Generator was definitely worth the 99 cents).

Next project!

All I need to find is a big sheet of white paper (I'll definitely skip framing it). And I'm sure there's a butterfly hole punch at home home (I'm not picky though - any biggish shape will work).

This is not me.

But I did wear each of these things today, only to realize on the walk home from the bus stop that I'd seen them all on the internet (some - the jeans and boots - before I bought them, and some - the scarf and shirt - before).

Boots- There's: Rockstar Diares Mine: Thrifted!
Black Jeans- There's: Wikstenmade Mine: Target
Shirt: There's: ellybeth Mine: identical, from h&m
Scarf: To be honest, I have no idea where I found this photo. But mine was on clearance at Target.

I'm saying it here, so that I have to do it.

I'm going to cook real meals*, and eat on a normal schedule. And be a grown up. Starting with the macaroni lasagna that's in the oven right now.

*Does from scratch, once a week sound like a reasonable goal?

(The picture's from early last fall, taken by Kels behind our Safeway.)

I'm saying it here, so that I have to do it.
